Be Healthy, Be Happy♥

Hi Kelsey! I have been trying to lose weight and get fit for about 6-7 months now. At the beginning, I made a lot of progress, but now I feel like its taking more effort to motivate myself to workout everyday and not to over eat. Last week I even gained 2-4 pounds back even though I had worked out and ate reasonably well. What advice can you give me for staying motivated?

For eating well: The best thing that my English teacher has ever told me was that no matter how expensive “good-for-you” foods were, the effects they have on your body are long lasting. Everything you eat, you really are. If you eat a lot of sugary or salty foods, your body will definitely show the signs of being unhealthy whereas, if you eat fresh, yummy organic foods your body will show most signs of good health. Eating well is also very exciting, whenever I go grocery shopping I’m always like “omg, new foods! I get to bring (insert healthy food here) to school! I can’t wait to have ____ for dinner!” haha.

For exercising: It’s definitely the changes you’ll see in your body. Do you want to see a change? Ask yourself this. Because the more you want to, the more you’re bound to do something about it.

The most motivating thing about it all? How much do you want it? Because if you do, you’ll get up and work for it! :)
